Pat Conroy Center Residency
Available to writers of all prose genres. Located on a salt marsh, the residency at MarshSong Cottage provides an inspirational, creative space in the heart of Pat Conroy’s beloved Low Country. The residency location is a guest cottage on St. Helena Island, SC. The residency dates will be October 22 to 29, 2025.

Banff Deep Winter Residencies

Bryn Du Mansion Residencies

The Bryn Du Artist in Residence program will provide an inspirational setting for the creation of artistic works by one artist at a time, of any discipline, over an 8 or 12-week time frame. All Artists in Residence are expected to provide a minimum of 2 community engagement activities per month. Stipends include $2000 for an 8-week residency and $3000 for a 12-week residency. Storyknife Writers Retreat

Flow Space 

A digital media platform focused on serving women’s health with content, community, and commerce. Its blog publishes science‑backed articles, personal stories, and expert interviews on topics such as menopause, chronic illness, and wellbeing. Giller Prize

Open to fiction books published in Canada in English between  July 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025. Must be nominated by the publisher.  Full-length novel or collection of short stories published in English, either originally or in translation. Prize: $100,000 to the winner and $10,000 to each of the finalists.

The Walrus 

A magazine that publishes original reporting, essays, fiction, poetry, and visual essays in the fields of politics, the arts, science and the environment, health, business, sports, technology, and international affairs. They publish articles of varying length, depth of reporting, and writing style, and compensate writers accordingly. For example, short essays of around 1,000 words start at $500; long-form reported features pay up to $1/word.
